Maeveen Jeffery's Obituary
Maeveen Jeffery, age 80, of Oshkosh passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 8, 1937 the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Taylor) Fleming. She married Richard Jeffery on July 8, 1961. She was a elementary teacher for many years and a faithful member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
Maeveen is survived by her husband Richard of Oshkosh. Two sons, Daniel (Mary Jo) Jeffery of Atlanta, GA and Andrew (Gabriela) Jeffery of Long Island, NY. Three daughters, Linda Jeffery, Tina Jeffery and Ann Hass all of Oshkosh, WI. Two brothers, Barry (Mary) Fleming of Illinois and Dermot Fleming of Levering, MI. Two sisters, Margie Pawlowski of Concord, MA and Nonnie Rooney of Myrtle Beach, SC. Seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jake, Reece, Emma, Fred, Amber and Raquel. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Brian and Tom and one sister, Sheila.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11 am St. Raphael's Catholic Church at 830 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Father Tom Long will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4 pm until 7 pm at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday from 10:30 am until the time of Mass.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Maeveen's name.
Maeveen's family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Hospice, Aurora Medical Center and Dr. Karen Gremminger at Fox Valley Hematology for all the compassionate care given to Maeveen over the years.
