Margaret Basiks' Obituary
Margaret Emily Basiks age 94 of Oshkosh died on Sunday morning July 12, 2009 at Bethel Home. She was born in Cedarburg, WI on February 9, 1915 the daughter of William and Pauline Marin. She was employed at Mercury Marine for many years. She was a faithful member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. She is survived by one son Charles (Fran) Basiks of South Beloit, IL. Daughter-in-law Sally Basiks of Oshkosh. Three grandchildren Michelle Van Fleet of Beloit, WI, Amber Basiks of Beloit, WI and Jennifer (Gary) Kotz of Castle Rock, CO. Eight great grandchildren Genevieve Kotz, Jakob Kotz, Rob Van Wormer, Brittni Peach, Nicholas Weatherall, Hannah Hernandez, Ivy Hernandez and Alexis Van Fleet. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, one son Anthony "Tony" W. Basiks died on November 9, 1997, other brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at the Bethel Home Chapel at 225 N. Eagle Street in Oshkosh on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at 2pm. Rev. Nancy Krueger will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Bethel Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1pm until 2pm. Private committal services will be held. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Margaret's name.
