Margaret "Nana" Haertl's Obituary
Margaret "Nana" H. Haertl, age 83, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Eden Meadows. She was born in Oshkosh on October 18, 1936 the daughter of Frank and Martha (Reinke) Griedl. She married John Haertl on July 10, 1954 in Oshkosh.
Margaret is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Sharon) Haertl, Three daughters, Linda Yenter, Christine (Al Schultz) Miller and Rose (Bob) Wirkus all of Oshkosh. One brother, Gerald (Jane) Griedl, two sisters, Donna (James) Kloehn and Mary (Randy) Van Linn all of Oshkosh. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 2016, three sisters, Joan, Audrey and Eleanor and one son-in-law, Michael Yenter.
Maggie loved traveling to Florida, Las Vegas and South Dakota. She loved her spring getaways with family members to the casinos. She looked forward to her weekly casino runs with her daughter to get her free gifts. She also enjoyed her weekends up at the cabin, looking forward to the summer visits from the "Germans".
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 6 pm at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Rev. Tim Greenwald will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 pm until 6 pm. Private committal services will be held at Liberty Prairie Cemetery.
