My memories of Maria begin when she and I worked together in Labor and Delivery at Mercy. We worked together on the afternoon shift for 5 years. We had some interesting experiences and what I remember most is how calm she was even when surronded by total chaos! I am grateful for the many kindnesses she showed to me and my family.

Maria was the Moma to my neighborhood childhood friend's Nancy and Susie. As a well seasoned adult, Maria re entered my life. We enjoyed coffee and treats and the best 'tea parties'. She was a woman of the moment. She was so aware of everything happening in the news. The wisdom she shared from her life and the conclusions she made and passionately expressed will be treasured.
