Marie E. Clayton-Goretzki's Obituary
Marie E. Clayton-Goretzki, age 92 of Oshkosh, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at Northpoint Medical U& Rehabilitation Center, Oshkosh. She was born on September 10, 1916 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Henry and Hazel Dawes. She married Gordon Joseph Goretzki, Sr., on October 8, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1975. She was a member of Most Blessed Parish, (St. Mary's Site) and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She greatly enjoyed cooking and cleaning for others, needle point and crocheting. Survivors include two sons: William Henry (Sue) Clayton of Menasha and Gordon Joseph (special friend: Romayne) Goretzki Jr., of Princeton and his dogs: Sarge, Sara, Ranger and Angel; four grandchildren: Connie, Jeffrey, Lisa and Kimberly; a great-granddaughter: Miranda and a great-great-grandson: Blazer James Schulz; other relatives and dear friends. A memorial service will be held for Marie on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 with the Rev. Fr. Jim Jugenheimer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 until the time of services.
