Marilyn J. Coates' Obituary
On early Saturday morning of March 14th, 2020, Marilyn J Coates passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born to Leo and Jean (Schneider) Phillip in the year 1937.
She worked 40 years at Miles Kimbals, many of those years as a supervisor of the Mail Opening Department. Marilyn was a gardener at heart, and her son, Darren, made sure, later in life, that she could look out her window to an amazing garden full of flowers. She loved life and spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. The love of her life, Robert Schueller, spent many times in their 31 years together, traveling all over the country, enjoying life like two kids.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her love, Robert Schueller, her father Leo Phillip, her mother Jean (Schneider) Phillip, her brother Ronald (Ronnie) Phillip, her sister Donna Stindt,
She is survived by her sister Carole (Elmer) Levine, and brothers Jim Phillip, Mike (Kim) Phillip and brother-in-law Donald Stindt. Her children Craig (Cindy) Coates, Mitchell Coates, Dawn Coates and Darren Coates. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. A special thanks to her son, Darren, who moved in to care for her, her private caregiver, Sue King, and Generations Hospice.
