Mark Alan Dodd's Obituary
Mark Dodd, age 61 of Oshkosh, died peacefully with his wife by his side on Thursday July 4th, 2024. Mark was born on March 13th, 1963, in Monroe Wi. He was the son of Rex & Murial Dodd. Mark Married the love of his life Tammie Ruedinger on December 11th, 1981. He was blessed with a son, Travis Dodd (Carly Gauthier), daughter Cassie Hintzke (Adam Hintzke) and 3 beautiful grandchildren, Marcus Dodd, Addison Skoundrianos, and Piper Dodd.
In his younger years he was a long haired, motorcycle riding, smoking, beer drinking, tattoo covered badass. As he got older, he had some health issues that wouldn’t allow a lot of the badassery, but you always knew it was still there. Mark was always able to make the most innocent comment sound dirty, but don’t you dare mention anything about poop at the dinner table. He was an outdoor enthusiast and loved his time hunting with his brother-in-law Mike Eskau, and his many fishing trips with friends.
Mark was retired from the Neenah Foundry where he worked for 14 years. Starting as Chip and Grind and later a forklift driver. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with his friends, usually finding things to tinker with in the garage.
Surviving mark are his siblings, Wanda Prescott (Chuck), Debbie Armstrong (Thor), Dawn Eskau (Mike), Laurie Aguilar (Tony) and Steve Dodd and his in-laws,
Mother and father in law, Dan & Linda Ruedinger, sister in-laws Michelle Ruedinger & Patti Langkau (Wes) and brother in-law Dan Ruedinger. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Rex and Murial Dood, and his brother Terry Dodd.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and everyone at Moments Hospice for all the care given to Mark. And also, a very special thank you to Marks closest friends, Ralph Abbott, Bob Wirkus, Ramiro Cardoza, John Boyle & Adam Hintzke, who all gave him so much joy to be around, and he was honored to call them his brothers.
A celebration of life will be held on July 20th, 2024 at Rev’s Bowl Bar & Grill on Washburn Ave, in Oshkosh from 4-8.
