Mark Charles Wahlberg's Obituary
Mark Charles Wahlberg, age 72, of Oshkosh, departed this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was born to the late Charles and Judith Wahlberg on June 27, 1953 on an air base in Texas where his father was serving. Mark spent most of his life in the midwest between Austin, Minnesota and cities around the fox valley before finally settling in Oshkosh. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors doing plenty of hunting for ducks, grouse and timber doodles along with fishing for trout, bluegill, perch and walleye. Big family fish fries were always to follow. He spent his work life at Bemis (Amcor) where he retired in 2016. Mark married Denise in April of 1990 and they enjoyed traveling the midwest, south and out west with a few trips across the pond. He was preceded in death by his parents; much loved brother, Bradley; a sister-in-law, Dianne Morrison-Hassler and mother-in-law, Darlene “Dolly” Morrison.
Surviving his loss are his wife Denise; sisters, Gail (David) Wright, Kirsten (Ron) Hebert, Teresa Wahlberg, Karin (Michael) Boone and a brother, Mike Wahlberg. Nephews and nieces, Ethan (Tori) Hebert, Ronnie Hebert, Charlie (Lauren) Hebert, Melanie (Grant) Kalmerton, Maggie (Bradley) Gorzek, Brooklyn Hassler, and Dawson Wahlberg. He is further survived by 6 grea-nieces and 3 great-nephews; sister-in-law, Deb (Scott) Lewis, sister-in-law, Terry Wahlberg and brother-in-law, Shannon Hassler.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 7 pm in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:30 pm until the time of service.
