Marlene A. Hielsberg's Obituary
Marlene Ann (Boushele) Hielsberg, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. She was born on December 1, 1933, in Oshkosh. The daughter of the late Harold Boushele and Rose (Matsche) Boushele. Marlene attended St. John’s Catholic school, Sacred Heart and graduated from Oshkosh High School. Marlene Boushele married Marvin Hielsberg on May 19, 1956. They were married for 65 years before Marv passed away in 2021.
Marlene will be remembered as a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Throughout her life she followed her grandchildren’s sporting events. It always put a smile on her face while spending time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. She retired from AT&T after 20 years.
Left behind to cherish her memories are three daughters: Linda Shea, Oshkosh, Kay (Peter) Hinsch, St. Paul, Kim (David) Cihlar, Buttes Des Morts; five grandchildren: Matthew Shea, Oshkosh, Tyler Shea, Oshkosh, Nicholas (Ali) Shea, Oshkosh, Max (Allie) Hinsch, Minneapolis, and Caleb Cihlar, Buttes des Morts; nine great grandchildren: Chloe, Allison, Phillip, Dylan, Charlie, Piper, Finley, Lily and Everly. Marlene is also survived by her brother Donald (Dona) Boushele and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene was preceded in death by: Marvin, sister Phyllis (John) Mortimer and two brothers, Harold (Jane) and Gerald Boushele. Special thanks to Dr. Barnor, nurses and aides at ThedaCare of Neenah.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Jude’s, St. Vincent site, 1225 Oregon Street. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.
