Marlyn Gutsmiedl's Obituary
Marlyn A. Gutsmiedl, 73, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully in her home with Glen, her husband of 56 years, by her side on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was born May 14, 1939 in Oshkosh the daughter of the late Rupert and Sophia Metko Dettlaff. She is survived by her husband Glen, of Oshkosh, her children, Linda (Ted) Huebbe of DePere, Dennis (Connie) of Oshkosh, Gary (Janice) of New London and Mark (Daphne) Gutsmiedl of Oshkosh. Six grandchildren, Adam of Laurium MI, Josh, Kyle, Lucas, Drake and Erich. Seven granddaughters, Bonnie, Candi, Lisa, Stacy, Jenny, Angie and Melissa all of Oshkosh. She is further survived by her brothers, Gerald of Fond du lac, James of Neenah Donald of Omro , Thomas, David and Glen Dettlaff all of Oshkosh. Her sisters, Kathy Kitzman of AZ, Lois Eaton, Judy Friar, Mary Jane "Midge" Bartels all of Oshkosh and Gloria (Dale) Smith of Vero Beach FL. and her sister in law, Barbara (Ken) Burgett of Oshkosh. Marlyn was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert and her sisters, Ruth, Dorothy, Virginia (Jeanne) and Patricia. Funeral services for Marlyn will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, Dr. Ted Tromble officiating. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Saturday, from 9am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital A great loss will be felt in the lives of all she touched. Heaven has gained another angel today.
