Marquinn "Mark" Martin's Obituary
Marquinn “Mark” Martin, age 83, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Aurora Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born on September 30, 1942, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, to Quinn and Marcia (Petrie) Martin. He married the love of his life, Harriet (Sandine), on August 26, 1967, in Aroma Park, Illinois.
Mark graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1960. He went on to attend Wisconsin State University–Oshkosh, graduating in 1965 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics. He began his career at Walker Manufacturing, later moving to Oshkosh in 1972, where he worked at Lenox Candles before becoming General Manager at Block Iron & Supply, where he remained until retirement.
During his working years, Mark was very involved in community charities. After retirement, Mark's passions were focused on family, friends, and being the best Papa ever! An avid golfer, he spent countless days and evenings at the Oshkosh Country Club. Harriet shared his love of the game and together they passed that passion on to their daughters and eventually their grandchildren. The many championship photos, plaques, and trophies they collected over the years stand as a testament to their dedication and joy.
Mark will be missed tremendously by his beloved wife, Harriet; his daughters, Kim (Dave) Andersen and Liz (Dan) Lynch; his grandchildren, Lizi and Megan Andersen, and Kevin, Maggie, and Ashling Lynch; his brother, Quinn (Jane) Martin; his nephews, Quinn (Irene) and William (Stef) Martin; and his brother-in-law, Charles Sandine. He also leaves behind many close friends and extended family whose kind words have shown his impact on so many people.
Honoring both Mark’s wishes and the love so many have for him, a brief visitation will be held on May 11, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh) for those who wish to stop by. The family will hold a private celebration of life this summer. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors in the ICU at Aurora in Oshkosh for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers please send donations to: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Attn. In Memory of Mark Martin, 125 E. John Carpenter Fwy, Ste. 255, Irving, TX 75062
