Mary Elizabeth Bahr's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Bahr (née Fabry), aged 86, passed away on June 23, 2024, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Born on February 22, 1938, Mary dedicated 31 years of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Winnebago County Health Center, Parkview, where she was a steadfast patient advocate.
Mary graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1956 and furthered her education at Fox Valley Technical College, School of Nursing. Throughout her life, Mary was known for her unyielding work ethic, which was evident from her early days working at the Oshkosh Theatre to her long-standing career in healthcare.
A lifelong resident of Oshkosh, Mary was deeply passionate about animal rescue, contributing her time and resources to various local organizations. Her love for nature and all living creatures was a testament to her kind and curious spirit. Mary was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, never missing a game and always cheering on her team.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth E. Robsham of Wellfleet, MA; her sister, Susan J. Kubasta of Oshkosh; nephews, Michael R. Molash of Marquette, MI, and Daniel B. Molash of Oshkosh, WI; and her beloved cat, Chloe. She also leaves behind her caregivers, Brandy Longfellow and Lacie Skaug of Oshkosh. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth E. Fabry; brother, James Fabry; granddaughter, Jaqueline Kelly Cunningham; and grandson, Daniel Wade Cunningham.
A memorial hour for Mary will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, on Wednesday, July 3, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place in the chapel at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in Mary's memory would be greatly appreciated. Mary's legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on through her contributions to the community and the lives she touched.
