One of my favorite memories of my grandma Mary are when we would wake up to the smell of chocolate chip pancakes and proceed to spend the day playing board games, going to the park, and making crafts like paper dolls and playing with playdo. Once it was time to go to sleep again she would tuck us in read us an endless amount of stories, and if any of us struggled sleeping she would sleep out in the hallway to make sure we had everything we needed and felt safe. I recall feeling sick one night but it was really just some nerves so she brought me into the hallway and we played a various amount of card games for another hour until I fell asleep.
