Mary Ann Sieger's Obituary
Mary Ann Sieger, age 79, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 9, 2016. She was born on August 23, 1936 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Anton and Philomena (Jungbauer) Kallin. She married Donald Sieger on April 14, 1956 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary Ann had worked for and retired from the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company retiring on February 11, 1992 after 25 years and two months of service. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers and was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary and was a very active lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, serving the church in many capacities. She and Don greatly enjoyed polka dancing, playing cards, bingo, traveling and Sunday dinners with their children.
She is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her husband of 60 years, Don, “Buddy”; two sons, Michael (Lori) and Steven, both of Oshkosh; three daughters, Paula (Terry) Henkel and Barbara (Steve) Drager both of Oshkosh, Gail Schwerin of Larsen; two brothers, Tony (Donna) Kallin of Oshkosh and Butch “Stanley” Kallin of Rock Springs, WI; a sister, Florence Kirk of Van Dyne; eight grandchildren, Tony and Timmy (April) Miller; Kelly (fiance Casey) Henkel; Andy Drager, Bryan (Stephanie) Drager; Justin, Ryan and Jamie Schwerin; three great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Willow and Keanan. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary Ann on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, corner of 6th and Knapp in Oshkosh with the Rev. Matt Simonar as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Homes of Oshkosh. 920-235-1170
