Mary Thomas' Obituary
Mary L. Thomas, age 77, of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Appleton, WI., on August 18, 1934 the daughter of the late Harvey and Jessie Herning Behrent. She married David Thomas in Grace Lutheran Church in Appleton. Mary loved spending time with her family, geneology, collecting dolls, and scrapbooking. She also had an astonishing memory, always dedicated to family and would do whatever necessary to help even when it waqs to her detriment. Mom could fix anything with a pliers and a screwdriver.
Survivors include four sons; Craig, Andy, Brian, Chad Thomas, one daughter; Tina Bays, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four sisters; Jeanne, Audrey, Donna, and Joyce. Mary is further survived by many neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband; David Thomas, six brothers; Paul, Art, Eugene, Ken, James, and Wayne Thomas, and three sisters; Joan, Shirley, and Delores.
Funeral services for Mary will be held in Lake View Memorial Park Chapel on Monday June 18, at 2:30PM with the Rev. Carl Knitt officiating. Family and friends may call at the chapel on Monday from 2:00PM until the hour of services. Mary's family wishes to extend a very special Thank you to Affinty Home Help and Hospice for their compasionate care over the last year and also to Kelly Thomas and Cristyna Williams for al of their care and support in Mary's time of need.
