Melvin Case's Obituary
Melvin J. Case, age 92, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday November 27, 2013 at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. He was born in Oshkosh on September 11, 1921 the son of the late James and Amanda Wiskow Case. Melvin served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army. He married Betty Lincoln on May 8, 1943 in St Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Mel was employed at Rockwell International as a Machinist and Inspector for forty-two years. He was a member of St Raphael Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; Betty Case, of Oshkosh, one son; Ronald (Lynne) Case, Oshkosh, three daughters; Barbara (Rich) Eichhorst, Oshkosh, Sharon (Greg) Diener, Oshkosh, Pamela (James) Frank, Oshkosh, one sister; Shirley Girens, Springfield MO., eight grandchildren; Lisa (Mark) Palfrey, Michele Tiedje, Joseph (Theresa) Plank, Janice (Chris) Roller, Jesse (Maggie) Frank, Sarah Frank, Amy Frank, John Thill, six great-grandchildren; Daniel Palfrey, Allison Tiedje, Nikita Tiedje, Lindsey Roller, Charlie Roller, and Adelle Frank. Mel is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Charlotte Conick, Naomi Chapin, two brothers; Carlton Case, and Jerome Case.
A Memorial Mass for Melvin will be held in St Raphael’s Catholic Church on Friday November 29, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Doug Le Captain officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.
