Mia Lor's Obituary
Our cherished wife, mother and grandmother, Mai Lor, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 at the age of 64, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Born in Xiangkhouang, Laos in 1961, Mai embarked on a courageous journey with her husband, Vue, to the United States in 1980. As a refugee, she began her new life in Philadelphia, PA before eventually moving to Oshkosh and building a beautiful life and loving family there. One of her proudest achievements was becoming a U.S. citizen on June 3, 2021. She loved tending to her garden and had a vast knowledge of traditional herbal remedies. Her ability to bring family together with her home cooked meals and unconditional love will be greatly missed. She was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father Nhia Pao Lor, mother Dong Yang, brother Bee, and 2 sisters, Mao and Lia. She will be profoundly missed, and forever loved and remembered by her husband, Vue Lee, her 7 children, Ying (Samson), Chao (Sindy), Bee, Meng (Xue), Shoua (Samuel), Yer (Pashia), and Pahoua (Sonny), and her 18 grandchildren. She also leaves behind 8 siblings: WaNeng, Chee, Xai Vue, Mai, Teng, Der, Lee, and Yer.
Funeral Service will be held on August 16, 2026 at 9 a.m. at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, with the burial the following day at Ellenwood Cemetary.
