Michael David Schaaf's Obituary
Michael David Schaaf, age 21 of Oshkosh passed away from cancer on Saturday, morning September 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Michael was a 2011 survivor of bone cancer in his jaw. He succumbed to a repeat bout with cancer in 2018. Michael was a gift with a gentle soul who positively impacted the lives of so many people in the short time he was given on this earth. He will be greatly missed. Michael was born in Oshkosh on April 16, 1997 the son of Paul Schaaf and Lisa (Overton) Schaaf. Michael graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 2018.
Michael is survived by his mother Lisa Schaaf of Oshkosh and his father Paul Schaaf of Oshkosh. One brother Russell Schaaf and one sister Natalie Schaaf both of Oshkosh. Maternal grandmother Bernice Overton of Brownsville, TN and Paternal grandmother Esther Schaaf of Oshkosh. Aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert Lee Overton and Milton August Schaaf.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 6 pm at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Rev. Cathy Weigand will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 pm until the time of service.

Covey provides recourses that empower people with disabilities and there families through short term care, social events and skill building programs.
