Michael A. Schmidt's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Allen Schmidt, 67, of Winneconne, Wisconsin, passed away in his sleep while at home on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Mike was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 12, 1957. He attended Alexander Hamilton Senior High School in Milwaukee, WI and served in the Navy from 1981 to 1985, serving an additional two years in the Naval Reserve. After his time in the Navy, Mike became an Emergency Medical Technician, continuing on to become a Critical Care Paramedic, and then obtaining his Associate Degree in Healthcare Management. He spent over three decades dedicating his life to serving and saving others. He was honored on June 12, 2019 with the VFW Emergency Medical Technician Award recognizing him for his service both to our country and everyone he’s helped over the years through his excellence in his field. One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments was that he delivered 7 babies while on duty.
Mike is survived by his parents, Beverly and Donald Schmidt, uncle, Richard Schmidt, brother, Wayne (Deb) Schmidt, daughter, Jassmine (Zach) Duey, wife, Nancy Schmidt, and step-daughter and granddaughter, Tiffany (Eric) Neuber and Skylar Neuber.
Mike will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He loved the outdoors and was most at peace fishing on a lake. Mike was loyal, kind, generous, and quick with a joke and a smile.
A celebration of life is being arranged for later in the summer.
