Myra L. Oestreich's Obituary
Myra L.Oestreich, age 86, passed away on September 26, 2016, at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born on December 28, 1929, in the Town of Bloomfield to Clarence and Norma Steinke. She was joined in marriage to Edgar Oestreich on March 28, 1948. They enjoyed 66 years together.
Myra was a devoted and nurturing stay-at-home Mom for six children and a loving wife to Edgar. Myra enjoyed gardening, camping, and vacationing with her family in the Smoky Mountains and Myrtle Beach. She was an active member of Martin Luther Church.
Myra is survived by their six children, Timothy (Beth) Oestreich, Patricia (David) LaPoint, Beverly (Bruce) Ryf, Vicki Hagie, all of Oshkosh; Cynthia (James) Haen of Schofield; and Wendy (Douglas) Kastner of Greenville. Also survived by 17 grandchildren Jennifer, Dan (Katie), Todd (Kristine), Nate (Megan), Jessie (Jess), Andy (Heather), Becky (John), Lisa (Tony), Nick (Kim), Kayla, Amanda, Chris (Heidi), Laura (Scott), Sam, Allie, Brady, Alex and 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and brother Milton (Rose Marie). Myra was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, sister Elvira Schafer, her parents, and grandson Scott Hagie.
The funeral service for Myra will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh with Pastor Jeffrey Berg officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eden Meadows and Bethel Home for their care during Myra’s final days.
