Nancy Drexler's Obituary
Nancy Lou Drexler, age 75, of Oshkosh, passed away at her home with her family at her side on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. She was a born on April 11, 1937 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Louis and Emma (Krueger) Veith. Nancy married Franklin Dale Drexler on January 21, 1956, he survives, the couple had five children and four grandchildren; Pastor Curtis (Marian) Drexler of Hortonville, Kathleen (Jeff) Rasmussen of Oshkosh and their children, Zachary (Erica) and Elizabeth Rasmussen, Phillip (Judie) Drexler, their children, Hollie and Briana Drexler, Pickett, Paul Drexler of Oshkosh. Nancy was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. There were 13 in her family, nine brothers and four sisters, Louis, Richard, Jerome, Thomas and James, all deceased, surviving are Donald (Delores) of Littleton, Colorado, Edward (Josie) Englewood, Colorado and Kenneth Veith of Las Vegas, Nevada, Patricia Attiberg, deceased, Dorothy (George) Adian of Denver Colorado, Sally (Steve) Bartz of Neenah, WI, Rosemary Veith of Oshkosh. She is further survived by a great-granddaughter, Hailey Rasmussen; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Veith, Jean Veith, and Oreline Palko; a brother-in-law, Ralph (Marie) Drexler; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Nancy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deanna; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Veith and Rita Veith. She loved her neighbors. I thank you all for making my life so great with your love, caring and prayers. The biggest thank you goes to the love of my life, my dear Franklin for taking care of me as I have had COPD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Nancy on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude the Apostle Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, corner of 6th Avenue and Knapp St. in Oshkosh. The Rev. Fr. William Van DeKreeke will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the COPD Foundation. The family wishes that special thanks be extended to both Affinity Hospice and Dr. Curtis Radford for all of the wonderful and tender care that was given to Nancy during her illness.
