Noreen L. "Daisy" Mueller's Obituary
Noreen L. "Daisy" Mueller, age 86, passed away this past week at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on June 18, 1927 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late Neal and Gertrude (Hughes) Fenrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Mueller. With Dick's early death Noreen became the bond to bring family and friends together at her home for the past 34 years. Noreen enjoyed many of the years of her partnership with the family owned business, F.W. Mueller Drugs. She would often reminisce about the friendships she made and the people she met while working there. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Europe. By far her favorite was her amazing trip to Ireland. Her property and flowers gave her lots of pleasure. She enjoyed seeing the fall colors and strolling in the leaves and planting her flowers each spring. Her love of cooking was often shared with friends and family. And of course, no one's birthday would go by without getting an angel food cake. For a quiet time at night you'd find her watching old black and white movies. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning and studying new topics. She also would easily be talked into a card game of spoons of kings-in-the-corner. In the mornings she looked forward to the "Paperboy" Jerry Weber delivering the paper and then having a vigorous debate with Jerry and Skip and anyone present about the morning headlines. In between she would listen and talk to the birds outside her kitchen door and enjoy coffee. Grandma Noreen cherished spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could always find a way to put a smile on their faces. She especially looked forward to visits with her grandson, Jonathan Mueller.
Noreen is survived by and her memory will be cherished by two sons, Richard "Skip" Mueller and Todd (Natanja) Mueller; three daughters, Holly Fillmore, Cindy (Keith) Vienola, all of Oshkosh and Mary Mueller of Oshkosh/Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren, Jerry (Jane) Vienola, Eric (Annie Krumemauer) Vienola, Matt Vienola and David Vienola, Sarah (Scott) Tuttle, Gretchen (Bill) Liethen, Danny Fillmore, Seth Mueller and Ethan Mueller, all of Oshkosh, Jonathan Mueller of Oshkosh/Las Vegas; six great-grandchildren, Kaelynn Counts, Joe Liethen, Eric Liethen, Decorah Vienola, Franki Lee Tuttle, Saima Jo Tuttle, Tovianna Vienola; an extremely loving sister, Gayle (Jerry) Weber, a brother Reid Fenrich and also a very special childhood friend of 80 years, Audrey Gorwitz, all of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Fenrich and a great-grandson, Ricky Liethen. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Noreen's son Skip for providing extensive care over the past years to help her remain in her home.
We little knew that morning God was to call your name. In life we loved you dearly and in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you didn't go alone. For a part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us memories, your love is still a guide, and although we can not see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
