Norman Burmeister's Obituary
Norman F. “Norm” Burmeister, age 67 of Oshkosh, passed away on September 1, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born on November 5, 1947 in Appleton, a son of Robert and Grace Burmeister. He married the former Jenny Dee Henrich on October 30, 1993. Norm was an avid fisherman and also greatly enjoyed taking day trips with Jenny into the countryside on all types of roads leading where they may. Norm had a great sense of direction and never got lost. He had worked for and retired from Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh after over 20 years of service.
He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Jenny of Oshkosh; his mother, Grace Burmeister of Appleton; two brothers, Vernon Burmeister of Florida and Brian (Sandy) Burmeister of Menasha; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Henrich and a brother-in-law, Robert Henrich. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1999; a brother and sister; his father-in-law, Lyle Henrich, and his companion “pet child”, Samantha.
Funeral services for Norman will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive in Oshkosh with the Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held at the funeral home for the family from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to a special thank you to the “everyone” at Mercy Medical Center for their help, concern, care and prayers.
