Patricia A. Formiller's Obituary
Patricia A. "Pat" Formiller, 89, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on May 2, 2016 after a short illness. Pat was born on January 12, 1927 to the late Walter and Angeline (Meidam) Brown in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. After graduation from Oshkosh High School, she married Eugene Frances Formiller, on February 10, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1994.
Pat worked for many years at Buckstaff Furniture and Taco Bell in Oshkosh. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren, and attending Sunday mass. She also enjoyed listening to music and going for long afternoon rides. Earlier in life, she enjoyed making ceramics and crafts, fishing, reading, and traveling with her husband in their RV. She was a wonderful cook and made many delicious meals for her husband and eight children.
Pat is survived by her loving children: Janice (Ronald) Wolf, Judith (Frederick) Phillip, Sharon (Michael) Spuhler, Frank Formiller, Diane (Richard) Hergert, and Laurie (Kevin) Goheen. Grandchildren: Richard Peterson, Stacey (Jerry) Hunter, Kelly (Steven) Seidl, Lisa (Mark) O'Brien, Bryan Phillip, Paul Phillip, Larry (Roxanne) Delfosse, Chad (Melissa Clark) Kjemhus, Logan Formiller, Austin (Erica) Formiller, Crystal Brown (Step-daughter), Natalie Hergert, Nicole (Brian Pinch) Hergert, Lyndsay (Derek) Wroblewski, Ashley Goheen (fiancé Elijah Haase), and John Goheen, plus 25 great grand children, 3 step great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren, and one expected great, great grandchild. She is further survived by three sisters: Mary Baerwald, Angeline Schlaeger, Rachel (Robert) Mellberg, two brothers: Robert (Carolee) Brown, Walter (Carol) Brown Jr., nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, parents, daughter and son-in-law Carol and Edward Buttera, son Thomas Formiller, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Lee Christian, brothers-in-law Robert Baerwald, and John Schlaeger.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart on the corner of 6th & Knapp), Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Pat's family would like to thank the staff at Waterford of Oshkosh and Heartland Hospice for the loving care to Pat and her family. A memorial is being established in Pat's name.
