PATRICIA MIERSWA's Obituary
Patricia Mierswa age 85 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017. Preceded in death by husband Joseph, son Daniel, sister Marilyn Hicks and brother John Martin. Patricia is survived by loving son Steve and wife Laurie and granddaughter Sabrina, daughter Lyn Mierswa (Stephen Walstead), daughter Joann Behr, and granddaughter, Laura, son Dave Mierswa (Karen Rheigans), son John Mierswa (Linda Lee), brother Tom Martin, and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a nurse at Bethel. She loved gardening, jigsaw puzzles, listening to classical music, collecting porcelain and rocks and enjoyed volunteering at the Oshkosh Historical Society, and the Paine Art Center.
Patricia will be truly missed by all she touched and though she will be remembered for many things, one that stands out is her love of “black licorice and tart rhubarb sauce”. And these, she, immensely did enjoy.
There will be a private internment with the family. A celebration of Patricia’s life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and per Patricia’s wishes, please direct memorials and spirituals to a personal cause of your choice. The family thanks all for the generous wishes, prayers and love shown to Patricia in her last few weeks and throughout Patricia’s journey of life.
