Paul was my mentor when I was an intern at the Koehn Institute, but his guidance went much farther than that. He inspired my love of sailing and helped me find direction as a student and a person. I am grateful to him in ways I don't think I ever fully thanked him for. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but gratified that he had such a long an meaningful life.
As a longtime participant in the New Horizons Band Fox Valley, Paul’s steadfast enthusiasm, commitment and support on behalf of the band was always kind, generous and heartfelt. His presence in the brass section, on the band’s Executive Committee and on the New Horizons Music Fox Valley board will also be missed. Most of all, we will miss Paul (and his tuba) at weekly band rehearsals and seasonal concerts.
I served on several PHRF Committees with Paul. I enjoyed working with him.

I knew Paul for over 70 years. We were contemporaries growing up in Milwaukee, although we lived in different parts of town. Shared good moments over the years, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, many family gatherings,etc. Although we did not connect frequently in recent years I have fond memories of our friendship.To my cousin Sandy and family, my heartfelt condolences.

Paul was an inspiring professor and wonderful mentor. I met him when he began his career and have remained in contact with him and his family since the 1960s. I remember taking Paul and his family on their first camping and fishing trip where his son caught a trophy northern almost bigger than he was. His enthusiasm for life was contagious. Wishing Sandy and his family many happy memories as they reflect on his life and their interactions.
