Paula L. Riley's Obituary
Another angel received her wings, Paula (Neubauer/Zentner) Riley, age 84 of Oshkosh, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 with complications from Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born on October 14, 1940 in Oshkosh-the only daughter of Paul O. and Louise M. (Schroeder) Neubauer.
Paula attended Sacred Heart School thru 1955 and graduated from Oshkosh High, the Class of 1958. She loved spending time with family and friends, monthly get togethers’ with classmates at The Roxy, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, quilting and many other crafts. She enjoyed sharing all her talents by generously gifting them to others. She cherished companionship with all of her dogs throughout the years.
Paula was employed by Gateway Transportation, Deltox, Oshkosh Truck and retired after 20 years from the EAA Maintenance Dept Office. She enjoyed talking and working with volunteers and visitors from all over the world.
On September 16, 1989, Paula was united in marriage to David J. Riley at the EAA Fergus Chapel in Oshkosh. They enjoyed weekends at their Door County home and traveling until his passing in 2016.
She is survived by her three children, David (Amy) Zentner, Lynn (John) Hirte and Kathleen (Robert) Borgardt. Eight grandchildren-Jacob, Nathan, Danielle, Isaac Zentner, Nick (Mel) Hirte, Josh Hirte, Ben (Rachel) Borgardt, Andy (Special Friend Samantha) Borgardt. Four great grandchildren- Sutton & Sloane Hirte, Easton & Ellie Borgardt.
Further survived by her mother in-law, Dorthy Riley (104), brother/sister in-law Gary (Rita) Riley, niece Casey Riley -all of Fish Creek, WI. Sister in-law Donna Zentner of Lakewood CO, cousins and nieces.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Russell Zentner and husband David Riley. Brother in laws -Tim Riley, Gary McNinch, Kenneth Zentner and Reid (Judy) Zentner, sister in laws-Sandy Riley and Colleen Riley.
She will be sincerely missed by all of her family & friends.
