Peggy L. Spanbauer's Obituary
Peggy L. Spanbauer, age 62, passed away on Sunday April 1, 2018 at her home in Oshkosh, with her family by her side. She was born December 10, 1955 at Shawano Medical Center. Daughter of the late Clyde and Marjorie (Ringel) Schmidt. Peggy graduated from Gresham High School. She married Dennis Spanbauer on November 29, 1974 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Gresham. Peggy worked for the Oshkosh School District food service for 31 years.
Peggy is survived by and her memory will be cherished by her loving husband; Dennis Spanbauer, three sons; Nicholas (Shawn) Spanbauer of Oshkosh, Nathan Spanbauer of Omro, and Neil Spanbauer of Oshkosh, one daughter; Natalie Spanbauer of Oshkosh, three brothers; Dennis (Dorine) Schmidt of Tilleda, Dave (Carla) Schmidt of Greenville, and Andy (Lori) Schmidt of Gresham, four sisters; Bonnie Schmidt of Shawano, Kathy (Mark) Kroenke of Shawano, Kristy (Tim) Paiser of Gresham, and Karen (John) Peters of Green Bay, two grandchildren; Jacob and Greyson Spanbauer, and brother-in-law; Greg (Stacie) Spanbauer of Oshkosh.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and brother; Danny Schmidt.
Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, watching sports, gardening, enjoyed baking chocolate cookies with her grandchildren, she also enjoyed fishing. And her favorite past time would be putting puzzles together with her daughter Natalie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Peggy on Saturday April 7, 2018 at 11 am in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Peter’s Catholic Church 435 High Avenue. Father Matt Simonar will be the celebrant. A time of visitation will be held on Friday April 6, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home 865 South Westhaven Drive. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 10 am until the time of Mass.
