Philip A. Trinrud's Obituary
Philip Arthur Trinrud, age 80, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday, December 3 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 12, 1937 in Scandinavia, Wisconsin, son of Ethel ( Barden) and Harry Trinrud. On July 30,1960, he married Carol Kreeger in Waupaca.
Phil was a good athlete graduating in 1955 from Waupaca High School. He served his country for three years in the Army and then worked for the Wisconsin National Guard until he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer. Phil spent many years officiating high school and college baseball, football and basketball. He was a lifelong Packer season holder from 1971 attending the famous Ice Bowl and Super Bowl II.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Carol, daughter Teresa (Jim) Levin, sons Patrick, Jerry (Melissa), Scott (Lynn) Trinrud. He leaves his so loved grandchildren Adam (Melissa Northey) Levin, Nikki (Tyler) Boschuetz, Casey (Nate Burns) Levin, Jacob Levin, Lauren, Alex, Luke, Quintin, Carson, Bella, and Ava Trinrud; great grandchild Colette Levin. Also survived by in-laws Donna Trinrud and Jim(Lois) Kreeger. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom and in-laws Albert and John Kreeger and Mary Wirtz.
The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, 865 Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh. Father Matt Simonar will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Committal services and graveside military rites will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials can be given to St. Jude Catholic Church, Oshkosh or a charity of your choice.
