Phyllis Tomasko's Obituary
With family by her side, Phyllis (Heiser) Tomasko died Monday, April 27 2015, at Evergreen, where she resided for three and a half years. She was born on December 8, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Schoenberger) Heiser. On August 25, 1951, she married Donald Tomasko. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1993. Together they focused on raising their family and creating opportunities for their children. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, dispensing advice, reading and mapping family genealogy. Most of all she loved to share stories and laughs with her sisters over a fresh pot of coffee. Throughout most of her life she worked with her second family at Oaks Candy. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish-Sacred Heart Church. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Laura (Dave Pientok) Tomasko of Whitehall, Jim (Julie) Tomasko of Wautoma and Ann Marie (Russ Salzer) Stilp; five grandchildren Amy Tomasko, Adam (Jesse) Tomasko of Green Bay, Scott Pientok of Minneapolis, Minn., Anna, Pientok of Winona Minn. and Jacob Pientok of Eau Claire; great-grandson Max Tomasko;one sister, Dorothy Artin of Fond du Lac; two brothers Kenneth Heiser of Rothschild and Joseph (Bernice) Heiser of Leesburg, FL; and many nieces and nephews including niece Marci (Heiser) Lelinski of Green Bay. Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, infant son Thomas and sister Betty Schroeder. Phyllis’ family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate staff at Evergreen’s Sharehaven memory care facility. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 1, 2015 at 10:30am at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home at 865 S. Westhaven Drive. Oshkosh, WI 54904. Father Matt Simonar will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30am until the time of service. Committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Fiss & Bills Funeral Home 865 S.
