Ralph Frank Borski's Obituary
Ralph Frank Borski age 82 of Oshkosh passed away Thursday May 12, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Oshkosh July 18, 1933 the son of the late Leon and Margaret Tews Borski. On November 3, 1956 he married Diana Lou Miller at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oshkosh.
He worked at Johnny Reigh's garage and Rockwell before he was drafted into the U.S. Army on May 13th 1953 to May 4, 1955 where he was deployed to Germany. After his time in the Army he came back to Oshkosh and worked for Kiekhafer's from 1955 to 1956 as a NASCAR mechanic. After that he was employed as a foreman at the Leach Co. for 38 years and retired in 1994.
Ralph is survived by his wife Diana, three daughters, Cathy (Todd) Jahn, Karen (Jeff) Hafemeister and Sandra (Rich) Voakes all of Oshkosh. He has one grandson, Brent Voakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Ralph and Diana lived in their Town of Oshkosh home for 54 years. They enjoyed many vacation trips together visiting Hawaii, Germany, Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Florida, California, Nevada, Washington D.C., Montana, North Dakota and Texas for vacations. They owned a mobile home in Harlingen TX and spent 16 years as winter Texans from 1993-2009. They lived in Sun Valley Village Mobile Home Park with people from many states and Canada making many new friends. Ralph was a member of the Oshkosh Elks Lodge 292 for 30 years. He volunteered for 10 years working Bingo each week when he was in Oshkosh and did cleaning and maintenance for the Elks building. He always enjoyed helping friends as a handyman.
A Elk's memorial service will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 am In the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Saturday from 9am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established to the Oshkosh Elk's Lodge 292.
