RAYMOND GRIGAR's Obituary
Raymond E. Grigar 83, of Bonita Springs, FL and a former resident of Oshkosh, WI died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. He was born July 22, 1931 in Chicago, IL the only child of Theodor and Mary (Andres) Grigar. Ray had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2000 coming from Oshkosh, WI. Before his retirement, Ray worked for Winnebago County as their highway commissioner retiring in 1999. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 70, Oshkosh, the American Legion Post 303, VFW Post 4254 and the Moose Lodge 1454 all of Bonita Springs. He was also a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Shirley F. Grigar of Bonita Springs, FL; three children, Kim (Dennis) Neitzka of Coldwater, MI, Gregory A. (Lisa) Grigar of Holcombe, WI and Dawn (David) Scott of Conrath, WI; two stepchildren, Jodi M. (Tim) Shea of Orlando, FL and Tom Matthews of Maryland; five grandchildren, Heather Neitzka, Cole Neitzka, Gunner Grigar, Kenzie Scott and Cassidy Scott and 3 step-grandchildren, Meaghan Shea, Andrew Shea and Gage Cardinale. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Grigar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, WI. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services. Military Honors will follow. A memorial service for Ray will be held in Florida at a later date and will be announced.
