Raymond Hergert's Obituary
Raymond R. Hergert, 53 of Delavan, formerly of Oshkosh, died Sunday March 21, 2010 at his home. He was born September 7, 1956 in Oshkosh the son of Warren and Elizabeth Bernier Hergert. He married Kathy Fosness on July 15, 2004. Raymond Served his country with honor and respect. He joined the United States Marine Corps on September 26, 1975 until September 25, 1978. He then took leave from active services and joined the U.S. Army National Guards in 1980 until 2006. He was called to active duty Nov 4, 2004 where he served in Iraqi Freedom until January 13, 2006. He then retired in August of 2006 to enjoy hunting and the Green Bay Packers. Ray is survived by his wife Kathy, two daughters, Trista Hergert and Tammy Hergert Santos. He is further survived by his parents, three brothers, Ralph (Rose Dahl), Richard (Diane) and Ronald Hergert all of Oshkosh and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Phillip Hergert and Theresa and Chris Frandsen. Funeral services for Raymond will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 8:00 pm in the Fiss and Bills Poklasny Funeral Home, the Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 pm until the time of services. A memorial has been established to the D.A.V. Raymond will be missed by his family and friends.
