Raymond Hitchcock's Obituary
Raymond G. Hitchcock, age 90, of Oshkosh, died Thursday October 24, 2013 at Omro Care Center. He was born in Oshkosh, on September 6, 1923 the son of the late Bill and Mary Hitchcock. Ray married Janette Kempinger on July 3, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2001. Until the time of his retirement Ray was employed as a press operator at Georgia Pacific in Oshkosh. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons; Ken (Sandy) Hitchcock Ripon, Jerry (Kathy) Hitchcock, Oshkosh, Mike (LexAnn) Hitchcock, Neenah, one daughter; Carol (Jim) Connelly, Oregon, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one brother; Melvin Hitchcock. Ray is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by three brothers; Lawrence, Marvin, Bill Hitchcock, four sisters; Irene, Audrey, Delores and Monica.
Funeral services for Ray will be held in the Poklasny Funeral Home on Monday October 28, at 7:00 PM with the Rev. William Van DeKreeke officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery on Wednesday October 30, at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM until the hour of services.
