Raymond Joseph Ruedinger's Obituary
Raymond Joseph Ruedinger, age 83 of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday morning, November 9, 2009 in his home. On July 3, 1926 he was born in Oshkosh, the son of Ben and Leona (Langkau) Ruedinger. Raymond worked for the Crystal Dairy in Omro and Cowan Dairy in Oshkosh as a deliveryman. Then he owned and operated his own dairy farm for 52 years. His hobbies included traveling, collecting milk bottles, woodworking, playing cards and riding his tractor. On June 2, 1951 he was married to Beverly Kumbier in St. Vincent's Catholic Church. She survives along with his son: Jeffrey of Oshkosh, his three daughters: Renee Ruedinger of Oshkosh, Marcia (David) Kromm of Waunakee, WI and Brenda (Paul) Christman of Oshkosh; his grandchildren: Christopher (Lindsey) Kromm and Kevin Kromm both of Madison and Erica and Paul Christman, Jr., both of Oshkosh; his great-grandson: Preston Kromm of Madison; his two brothers: Mark (Cele) Ruedinger of Oshkosh and Stanley (Rosie) Ruedinger and his sister: Florence Palachek of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sisers: Irene Hallman and Baby Alice Ruedinger and his in-laws: Fred and Edith Kumbier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 in St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (St. Vincent's Site) 216 W. South Park Ave., with Rev. Fr. Thomas Reynebeau as celebrant. Burial will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Friday in the church.
