Raymond Tetzloff's Obituary
Raymond G. Tetzloff, age 93, of Oshkosh, died Monday Morning February 16, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in The Dewey Township in Portage County WI., on March 1, 1915 the son of the late Frank and Mary Dulski Tetzloff. Ray married Cecelia Seavecki on October 25, 1939 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the town of Lanark, WI. He worked at The American Excelsior Company for nine years. Then spent time serving his country in The U.S. Army during WW II. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Oshkosh Fire Dept. after 27 years of service. Ray was a lifetime member of St. John's Catholic Church in Oshkosh, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and also loved to dance. Survivors include his wife; Cecelia Tetzloff, of Oshkosh, four sons; Randall (Rosanne), Tulsa, OK, Robert ( Carol), Rockford, IL., Thomas (Colleen) Cottage Grove, WI., Raymond (Julie) Tetzloff, Oshkosh, one daughter; Rita (Ron) Kopca, Port Washington, WI., ten grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Ray was preceded in death by four brothers; Syvester, Henry, Rufus and Edwin Tetzloff, four sisters; Selma Bochinski, Florence Schroeder, Margaret Trebiatowski, Isabelle Jacowski, and one granddaughter; Kristi Tetzloff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 20, at 11:00 AM in The St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church (St. Vincent Site) with the Rev. William Van de Kreeke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at The Poklasny Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00-6:00 PM where there will be a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Family and friends may also call at the church on Friday morning from 10:30 AM until the hour of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial in Ray's name will be established at a later date.
