Rhody David Moxon's Obituary
Rhody Moxon, age 76, a resident of Oshkosh, passed away at Ascension Medical Center on Friday, June 7, 2019, surrounded by family. Rhody was born on June 16, 1942 to Mryon and Rose Moxon.
Rhody served as a stateside medic during the Vietnam era from April 1964 to April 1966. He married Jean Traxler on June 29, 1985. He worked at Oshkosh Truck Corporation until 2004, when he retired. He enjoyed his sports team (Brewers and Packers), computers, and going to the senior center.
Rhody is survived by his loving wife; Jean Moxon, son; Dave Moxon, daughter; Sheila Smith, grandchildren; Abby Moxon and Brett Moxon, great-grandson; Madrox Moxon, mother-in-law; Doris Traxler, brothers-in-law; Tony and Mark (Betz) Traxler, sisters-in-law; Cathy Kulibert and Sally Beckerson (Bret Anschutz), numerous nieces and nephews, and his loving dog; Cupcake.
Rhody was preceded in death by his parents; Myron and Rose Moxon, siblings; Ronald Moxon and Eileen Glodowski, great-granddaughter; Hazel Moxon, father-in-law; Lawrence Traxler, brother-in-law; Frank Traxler, and nephew; Jerry Glodowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Drive Oshkosh, WI 54904 with Father Matthew Rappl as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial with full military honors will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Brett Moxon, Lance Beckerson, Adam Gilmour, Cody Schubert, John Garcia, and Terry Schroeder.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
