RICHARD HOHENWALTER's Obituary
Richard J Hohenwalter, age 79, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Park View Health Center with his family by his side. He was born in Oshkosh on August 10, 1935 the son of the late George and Mary Schuster Hohenwalter. Richard served his country in the U. S. Army, and the Army Reserve. He married Mary Jane Kromm in Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett WI., May 30, 1959. Richard was employed by Rockwell International in Oshkosh as an assembler until the time of his retirement. He loved spending time with his family and being in the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years; Mary Jane Hohenwalter, of Oshkosh, three daughters; Jody (John) Davis, Oshkosh, Lori (Larry) Tollard, Wausau, Kris (Bill) Brittnacher, Oshkosh, four grandchildren; Hayley Moder, Ben Moder, Taylor Brittnacher, Katie Brittnacher, one great-grandson; Kai Hintze, one sister; Jane (Al) McCormick, Appleton, two sisters-in-law; Ellen Hohenwalter, and Rita Hohenwalter. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by two sisters; Carol Schmidt, Janet Zarter, two brothers; George Hohenwalter, and James Hohenwalter.
Funeral services for Richard will be held in Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday January 3, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established at later date.
