ROBERT "BOBBY BARTHELS's Obituary
Robert "Bobby" E. Barthels, 54, passed away Friday, November 28. He was born in Oshkosh the son of Bobby and Shirley (Selenka) Barthels on March 18, 1960. He was employed at the Universal Foundry in Oshkosh and North Aluminum Factory in Fond du Lac. Throughout his life Bobby had 3 very special dogs, and a unique relationship with each. He enjoyed being outside looking for signs of wildlife. He loved cats, hunting, fishing, the Packers and women. It was a good day if he could spend it on Lake Winnebago "the pond" and then throw a fish fry. Anyone who knew Bobby knew that the 4th of July was his favorite holiday; it was a thrill to 'blow up the back yard'. Bobby had a special way of making people laugh, you could count on him to help you out and he accepted everyone for whom they were.
He is survived by his son; Zachary (Brennen Boll) Barthels, of Green Bay; one daughter; Tiffany (Travis) Frisky, Tomahawk, his father; Bobby Barthels, Oshkosh, one brother; Mike (Marie) Selenka, Jackson WI, two sisters; Carol (James) Poklasny, Oshkosh, Kathy (Jeff) Hansen, Divide CO; five grandchildren, special nieces, nephews, and his dear friends: Darryl, Scotty, James & Gina.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Shirley Barthels, and one brother-in-law; Harvey Meyer III
