Robert A. Doemel SR.'s Obituary
Robert A. Doemel SR., age 80, of Oshkosh, passed away on October 2, 2021 at Omro Care. He was born in Oshkosh on May 15, 1941 the son of the late Harold SR. and Shirley Ives Doemel. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and is a member of the American Legion Post 70. He married Susan Hanseter on August 19, 1967. Bob was a self employed in the excavating and demolition business. In later years he could be found at his shop on Grand Street working on his cars; his favorite being the Riviera Convertibles. He enjoyed bowling at Shoreview Lanes on Thursday nights for Buttman & Binner Meats in the Lakeview 60 League. Bob would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone in need. His greatest joys and pride in life were his two sons and four grandsons.
Bob is survived by his wife; Susan Doemel, sons; Lt. Col (Ret) James (Jancee) Doemel, Robert Doemel JR., grandsons; Jarrett, Janssen, Brode, Cooper, brothers, Richard (Norma) Doemel, James (Connie) Doemel, Stephen (Susan) Doemel, Charles (Susan) Doemel, Jack (Wendy) Doemel, sisters; Pat (Bob) Leary, Barb (Jim) Robinson, Marilyn (Dennis) Hammerseng, Deanna Stearns, brothers-in-law; Bob Kelley, Russel Hanseter, sisters-in-law; Karen Hanseter, Gloria (Tom) Robl, and Pat Micka. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother; Harold Doemel JR., sisters; June Janke, Carol Madous, Janet Lautenschlager, Nancy Salzer, brothers-in-law; Ronald Hanster, Selwyn Micka, sisters-in-law; Donna Hanseter, and Mary Kelley.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering of sharing and support which will be held in the Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park Oshkosh) on Saturday October 16, from 10:30 AM until until 12:00 PM with full Military Honors at 12:00 PM. A lite lunch and snacks will be served during the time of gathering.
