Robert Fugleberg's Obituary
Robert E. Fugleberg, age 83, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Evergreen Retirement Community. He was born on November 18, 1925 in Oshkosh, a son of the late William A. and Grace M. (Sanders) Fugleberg. Bob served his country in the US Air Force and was very proud to have piloted 30 missions over Germany in a B-24 Bomber. Bob had bartended for many years and for 30 years was with the Roxy Restaurant. He then worked for Condon Oil Company. Bob will be remembered for his great love of the game of golf.
He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Fugleberg Jr. of Osceola, Wisconsin and Kenneth Fugleberg of Palm Springs, Florida; a daughter, Mary (Carl) Draeger of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Wenzel, Douglas Draeger, Dereck (Carla) Fugleberg, Jason Fugleberg, Chad Fugleberg and Katie Fugleberg; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Wenzel, Christopher Fugleberg, Emily Fugleberg and Colin Fugleberg. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Fugleberg.
Funeral services will be held for Robert on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Oshkosh, with Pastor Lee VanScyoc officiating. Full military honors will follow with entombment in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Evergreen Retirement Community.
