ROBERT LEROY HENKE's Obituary
Robert L. Henke, age 81, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday September 26, 2017 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on June 14, 1936 the son of the late Reuben and Edna Wruck Henke. Bob married Judith Redmann on May 4, 1957. She preceded her in death on January 28, 2013. Until the time of his retirement Bob was employed at Morgan Door Co. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, gardening and staying busy. Bob was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.
Bob is survived by two sons; Craig (John Nichols) Henke, of Appleton, Brian (Oscar De Leon) Menasha, one daughter; Lori Henke, Oshkosh, four grandchildren; Corey, Justin (Jen), Brock, Melanie Henke, four great-grandchildren; Kylie, Brock Bishop Jr, Isaih Reeves, Caydence Henke, four brothers; Stan (Kay) Henke, Oshkosh, Arlyn Henke, Oshkosh, Arden Henke Fisk, Wayne (Beverly) Henke, Oshkosh, five sisters; Joyce (Judge) Levenhagen, Rosendale, Nancy (Steve) Kemnitz, Rosendale, Carol (Tom Damro) Oshkosh, Gloria (Mike) Hansen, Oshkosh, and Sharon (Craig) Kleinschmidt, Oshkosh. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his two cats; Shiloh and Cassie.
He was preceded in death by one brother; Don Henke and one sister; Bonnie Hunter.
Funeral services for Bob will be held in Poklasny Funeral Home (870 W South Park) on Saturday September 30, at 12:00 PM with the Rev. Bradley Dokken officiating. Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
Bob’s family wishes to thank Dr. Megan Kane, Theda Care Hospice staff Anne Kienert, Oscar De Leon, Cheney Bishop, Brenda Breeze Lemke, Crystal Paffenroth, Ma Ma Mi Mi, Susie Ratau, Carol Henke and to all the wonderful neighbors for their help on Sanders St.
