Robert F. Jansen's Obituary
Attorney Robert F. Jansen, age 87 of Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Eastbrooke Manor. On May 21, 1922 he was born in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Fredrich and Eva (Olsen) Jansen. On September 29, 1945 he married Peggy Newberry. She preceded him in death on August 8, 1972. He then married Betty Noe on October 1, 1976. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2008. Bob practiced law for over 50 years in Oshkosh, and served as City Attorney from 1954 to 1955. He was a member of Elks Club #292 of Oshkosh for 62 years, serving as Past Exalted Ruler from 1958 to 1960. He enjoyed boating with his family and friends and later traveling with his wife, Betty. He also enjoyed spending time at his home in Punta Gorda, Florida.
Survivors include two sons: Kirk (Wendy) Jansen and Jeffrey (Chris) Jansen; two step-children: Donna (Robert) Molus, Steve (Cindy) Noe and daughter-in-law Mary Alice Jansen; his grandchildren: Stacy (Keith) Frey, Daniel (Andrea) Jansen, Allison (John) Almos, Andrew Jansen, Aimee Jansen, Mandy (fiance: Kevin) Nelson, Angela Nelson, Gregory (Amy) Noe, Melissa and Sarah Noe; his great-grandchildren: Madeline and Olivia Frey, Ryan Jansen and Caden Noe. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Darrel and a son: Stephen.
Funeral services will be held at 12-Noon, Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive, with Rev. Nancy Krueger officating. Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Private burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
