Bob McGuire, age 63, of Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Bob was born on December 29, 1953 in Oshkosh to Robert Sr. and Jean (Anger) McGuire. He is further survived by many dear friends who are like "family", to us -- you know who you are!
Bob attended Rose C. Swart Campus school with many dear classmates who still stay connected today. Bob attended Oshkosh High School graduating in 1972 with Honors and attended the University of Denver, graduating in 1976, cum laude with a Marketing Degree. His career started in the family wholesale footwear business, H.C. Roenitz Co., running it for 22 years. In 1997 Bob joined Dennis and Gail Scwab, First Weber, in real estate, becoming one of their top producers, closing over 75 properties in 2016. Bob was a long time member of the Oshkosh Noon Kiwanis, Oshkosh Yacht Club, at one time deacon, board member and youth group leader at New Life Community Church. He was currently active at Community Church, Ryf Road and a member of MacDowell Male Chorus. Bob loved the water and boating, learning to sail and race sailboats at age 8 with his father. His other passion was golf with his children and buddies. He loved his Packers, Brewers, Wisconsin Football and Basketball teams and....Fantasy Football!! He shared his love of astronomy with his children and all who would listen! We will dearly miss Bob's sense of humor and all of his stories--he was so much fun!
