ROBERT OLEJNIK's Obituary
Robert Olejnik, age 84, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at his home in his wifes arms. He was born in Oshkosh on March 30, 1932 the son of the late Stanley and Lydia Richter Olejnik. Bob served his country during the Korean War in the U S Army. After an honorable discharge he returned to Oshkosh where he met and married Rosemary Spencer in St Josaphats Catholic Church in Oshkosh on October 27, 1962. He was a member of St Josaphats Catholic Church in Oshkosh, and enjoyed fishing, morning coffee, playing cards, spending time with his family, and an occasional deer hunt if he could play cards and not go in the woods, and was also an avid Packer fan. During his professional career Bob was employed by the City of Oshkosh in many different departments.
Bob is survived by his wife; Rosemary Olejnik, of Oshkosh, one son; Scott (Tracy) Olejnik, Oshkosh, one daughter; Tina Olejnik, Madison, thirteen grandchildren, Jake, Sam, Lauren Olejnik, Phillip, Nicholas, Ben, Abe, Sebastian, Cyrel, Bernie Schlueter, Lauren Olejnik, Lydia, Rose, and Claire Schlueter. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by two brothers; Florian, Richard Olejnik and one sister; Francis Buhrow.
Funeral services for Bob will be held in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home on Saturday December 10, at 11:00 AM with the Rev Doug Le Captain officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with full Military Honors. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 until the hour of services.
