Robert Francis RADEMACHER's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Francis Rademacher, age 85, of Fond du Lac, lifted off from Bethel Home in Oshkosh on Saturday January 22, 2022. He was born the son of the late Paul Herbert and Marie Louise Jaeger Rademacher in Escanaba, MI on April 5, 1936. He graduated from St. Joseph's in Escanaba, attended St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, and married Sally Powell. Bob was a perpetual merrymaker, witty jokester, and the best, most selfless and generous Dad in the universe. He was also an unconditionally loving Boopa to his grandchildren. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S Air Force in Germany and France as an atomic armorer during the Cold War. After his service, he worked as rocket engineer for General Electric in Philadelphia. He was Vice President/Plant Engineer for Tolibia Cheese in the 70s and 80s, after which he began his own company, Unicell Inc. in Reedsburg, WI.
Bob is survived by five adoring children; Sally Olp of North Fond du Lac, WI, Sue Rademacher of Manitou Springs, CO, Amy (Walter) Phillips of Oshkosh, WI, Lori Rademacher of Colorado Springs, CO, Pete (Tessa) Rademacher of Colorado Springs CO, seven loving grandchildren; Sara (Rob) Olp, Fond du Lac, WI, Mandy (Chad) Amsrud, Greenville, SC, Brian Olp, Colorado Springs, CO, Alex Vera, Oshkosh, WI, Jack Phillips, Oshkosh, WI, Maggie Phillips, Oshkosh, WI, Joey Rademacher, Colorado Springs CO, one sweet great-grandson Noah Olp, Fond du Lac, WI, and one extremely handsome and smarter older brother, David Noel (Sue) Rademacher, Mounds View, MN. He is further survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul David, John Joseph and eight sisters; Mary Jean Benson, Elaine Feltes, Ruth Ann Sullivan, Mildred (Mickey) Gafney, Patricia Hoppe, Bernice Buda, Margie Gendreau, and Nancy Rademacher.
Bob's family would like to thank the caring staff of Serenity Gardens at Bethel Home for making his last year a happy one full of laughs and love. Also, a big thank you to the staff of the Kwik Trip on East Scott Street in Fond du Lac; he loved visiting with/bothering his friends there.
A burial service for Robert with Military Honors will be held in early summer of 2022 in Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba, MI.
