Robert W. Ramsey, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert W. "Moses" Ramsey, Sr., age 51 of Oshkosh passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in Aurora Medical Center after a battle of cancer. On June 10, 1958 he was born in St. Louis, MO, the son of George and Dorothy (Streicher) Ramsey. Robert worked for Marvel Manufacturing in Oshkosh and was a truck driver for Doyle Chemical, Valley Express, Lapham Hickey Steel. He was a member of Zodiac Motorcycle Club and Oshkosh Ace's. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include sons: Robert (Trisha Nesbit) Ramsey, Jr., Raymond Pegel, Riley Hays and Zachary Denison; daughters: Tanya Manlove, Hilary (Ken) Woldt and Chelsea Hays; grandchildren: Taylor Ramsey, Tate Schmeidel, Raymond Pegel, Tyler Odom, Aveona and Gaven Woldt and Jasmine Nesbit; his companion: Sandra Hays; brothers: Frank, Lee, Gene and Ross and sisters: Donna, Ginger and Shirley. He is further survived by many friends including a close friends: Rory Earl, Fay C. Sutter, the employees at Marvel, his friends at the Park Ave Bar family, his former wife: Velina Steele and Sandra's mother: Carolyn Youngwirth. Robert's parents preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Dr. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home. A second memorial services will begin at 4:00 p.m., Saturday at the Zodiac Clubhouse, 2428 Fond du Lac Road, Oshkosh. Memorials may be directed to Robert's family.
The family would like to thank the Dr. Edith Krueger and her assistant, Norma for the care they gave Robert.
