Robert M. Schneider's Obituary
Robert M. Schneider, age 95, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday evening, August 15, 2009. He was born in Oshkosh on August 16, 1913 a son of the late Gratian W. and Mary Heppler-Schneider. Robert served his country in the US Army Air Corp, and married Ethel M. Harsch on June 29, 1943. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. Robert had worked many years at the Deltox Rug Company and later for Mercy Hospital for 23 years until retirement. He greatly enjoyed gardening, birds and traveling with his wife during retirement.
His memory will be cherished by his wife Ethel of 66 years; three sons, Mark P. of Hortonville, Robert A. of Menasha and Steve J. of Oshkosh; two daughters, Katherine Schneider of Oshkosh and Joan Mary Schneider of Milwaukee; two brothers, Donald (Carol) of Fond du Lac and Richard (Pia) of Stockton, California; two sisters, Marie Meidl of Oshkosh and Marcella Kenyon of California; he is further survived by a grandson, David Kaufman of Appleton, other relatives and many very dear friends. He was preceded in death by siblings, Alvin, Joseph, Victor, Max and Leona.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, (St. Mary Site) corner of Merritt and Monroe in Oshkosh. The Reverend James Jugenheimer will celebrate. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
