Robert J Zellner, age 62, of Oshkosh, passed away at his home on Tuesday June 21, 2022. He was born in Oshkosh on May 2, 1960 the son of the late Raymond and Virginia Miley Zellner. Until the time of his retirement Bob was employed by Generac in Oshkosh. Bob married Jeanne Kuklinski May 28th, 1982 and later divorced after 34 years of marriage. Bob later married Kristi Taylor on May 29, 2020 in the backyard at their home.
Bob is survived by his wife; Kristi Zellner, of Pickett, two daughters; Jamie (Sam) Spatz, Hewitt, WI, and Katie Zellner, Henderson NV, step-daughters; Molly and Kenzie O’Connell, three grandchildren who he loves very much; Lauren, Elise, and Charlie, and three brothers; Steven (Connie) Zellner , James (Sheree) Zellner, and William (Darlene) Zellner, and one sister-in-law; Pamela Gumz. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many life-long friends.
Bob was preceded in death by one brother; Thomas Zellner, and one nephew; Jonathan Zellner.
Bob was a skilled carpenter, and could meticulously build anything. He was most proud of the house he built that he raised his kids in. He also spent many years rebuilding an El Camino, even building what he called a “rotisserie” to make it easier to work on. He loved music of every kind, often times sharing his favorite songs with the ones he loved.
In recent years, he worked hard making trails throughout the woods in his backyard. He enjoyed going to concerts and on long drives. He coached a season of soccer, spending most of the time making sure each of the third graders got fair play time. He loved his three grandchildren so much, treasuring the time he spent with them.
He had a life-long appreciation for a Hamm’s beer, a Terry Redlin print, and a good stereo system. He could strike up a conversation with anyone he met, and always had a joke to tell. There were many people that have been in his life for years that he cherished, especially his brothers, lifelong friends, and old neighbors.
A time of sharing and support with his family will be held in Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S Westhaven, Oshkosh) on Wednesday June 29 from 5.00-7:00 PM.
