Robert Paul Zick's Obituary
Robert P. Zick (Bob) 70 years of age passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 11th, 2021. Bob was born in New London, WI on November 14th, 1950 to Paul and Gertrude Zick. He married the love of his life Diane Drager on April 8th, 1972. Robert was a retired U.S. Army Veteran where he served in the Vietnam War.
Bob enjoyed day trips and weekend getaways to the casino with Diane, golfing with his son Jason, and watching sports especially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. His favorite sport to watch was anything his Granddaughters were participating in. Nothing made him prouder then cheering them on at their softball and volleyball games or at the County Fair showing cattle.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Gertrude; Father-in-law Bud Drager; and Brother George. He is survived by Diane, his wife of 48 years; his son Jason (Amanda) Zick and Granddaughters Karlee and Addee all of Omro; his Sister Patricia (James) Freer of Fremont; and Brother James (Cindy) Zick of Weyauwega. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank friends and family who have reached out in the last few weeks and the Cancer Care Team at Ascension NE Wisconsin- Mercy campus over the last year in a half. The sincerest thank you goes to Chad, Troy, Peg, Tiffany, and everyone at Agnesian HealthCare’s Hospice Hope for providing exceptional care and comfort at home in his final weeks.
